December at a glance

This was Ella's pose for most of the night skating!! Bless her little heart, she got up every time and kept on going!!
Claire enjoying a ride from Daddy and talking to Ella
Claire was not so sure on the whole ice skating thing. She preferred to sit and let others push her
Ella opening her Leap pad, that was mighty difficult to find!!
Claire opening her American Girl Doll bitty baby
Both girls waiting patiently to start opening gifts
My two little Christmas Eve angels
Well for some reason the blog will not let me start typing at the top so I will start typing at the bottom!! This past month has went by in a blurr. We had a very blessed Christmas this year. The girls were into everything from Santa to baby Jesus's birthday and everything in between. It is wonderful to watch them mature into little ladies and get the real reason we celebrate Christmas. We were able to make all of our stops this year including Chris's grandpa's 90th birthday celebration. What a great celebration to see his grandparents and all of the aunts, uncles and cousins. We were also able to spend some time with Chris's parents before they headed down to Florida for the winter. I am sure they are going to miss all of our snow and cold weather!! I had a great plan of visiting all of our friends over break, but that quickly changed due to Ella coming down with the flu again!!! Hopefully we can catch up with everyone sometime soon! Another highlight of our break was the chance to go ice skating for a birthday party. The kids had a blast and Ella is interested in taking lessons. The pictures above don't quite capture the moments:) Poor Ella tried so hard and never gave up. Her poor legs were black and blue the next day, but she wants to do it again! Glad to see she wasn't deterred from doing something that is challenging. The girls both started gymnastics this past week. It is very nice because they both are taking classes at the same time, which requires only one trip per week:) I think that pretty much sums up our last month in a nutshell. Hoping to do more posts to keep Phil and Sue in the loop down in Florida:)
